Ahsoka‘s sixth episode was perhaps the most noteworthy yet. It reunited Sabine Wren with her former crew mate Ezra Bridger, whose whereabouts and fate were previously unknown. As Sabine searched the planet Peridea for Ezra, she encountered a group of mysterious aliens hiding under the rocks. But what is this alien species?

Sabine first encountered the aliens after her howler mount inspects the ground. When it examines a rock, the rock suddenly jumps up revealing itself to be a crab-like alien.

The alien has claws and eye stalks, as well as a shell that is used for camouflage. It speaks in an unknown language and Wren struggles to communicate with it. Eventually, it notices the Rebel Alliance symbol on her armour and this prompts Wren to ask if it knows Ezra and where he is.

It acknowledges her questioning and more aliens appear from under their shells. After the aliens take some time discussing amongst themselves, they agree to take Wren to their village where she is reunited with Ezra.

What are the aliens hiding under the rocks in Ahsoka?

The aliens hiding under the rocks in Ahsoka are Noti.

They are a sentient species and Peridea is their homeworld. They live a nomadic lifestyle, continuously travelling and setting up new villages before moving on to different locations.

Ezra appears to have lived with the Noti since arriving on Peridea during his self-exile. The Noti’s have their own language known only as “Noti language”. Ezra Bridger is the only known human who can speak the Noti language and communicate with them easily.

The Noti are shown to be able to cook, clean, fix, and build things. They behave much like humans and can be considered a friendly, albeit timid, species.

It remains to be seen if the Noti will play a significant role in the final two episodes of Ahsoka.
