Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III‘s (MW3) multiplayer has been with us for a couple of weeks now. Fans have responded positively to the mode and the changes it has introduced, with particular praise being given to its movement mechanics. In recent days, players may have noticed locked playlists on the multiplayer home screen, with one of these being “Rustment 24/7”. But what is Rustment and is it worth getting excited about?

What is Rustment in MW3 multiplayer?

Rustment is a multiplayer playlist that features the Rust and Shipment maps on rotation. That means if you search for games using the Rustment 24/7 playlist, you will only play on Rust or Shipment.

It will undoubtedly prove incredibly popular due to the CoD community’s love of Rust and Shipment. Both maps are small, fast-paced, and incredibly chaotic. They allow for huge kill counts and are perfect for gaining lots of XP in a short amount of time, levelling weapons, completing challenges, and earning rewards.

Rust made its Call of Duty debut in 2009 as part of the original Modern Warfare 2. It subsequently returned in the 2019 Modern Warfare reboot and was remastered for Modern Warfare III.

Shipment first appeared in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare all the way back in 2007. It was later included in Modern Warfare (2019), Vanguard, MWII, and CoD: Mobile.

Rustment 24/7 playlist release date

Rustment 24/7 is currently shown on the multiplayer home screen in Modern Warfare III. However, it is locked and cannot be selected.

Its attached countdown timer confirms a release date of November 30th 2023 for Rustment. According to the timer, it will become playable from 10am PT / 6pm GMT / 7pm CET.
