Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is the next instalment in the long-running RPG series. After years of delays and tumultuous changes to the title, EA is apparently planning to launch it by the end of the fiscal year in March 2025.

This information comes via a new report by Eurogamer. In the ten years since the release of its predecessor – Dragon Age: Inquisition – few details have been shared about the much-anticipated Dreadwolf.

However, reports of development disarray at BioWare have found their way online. This has apparently included changes to core aspects of the game and disagreements over turning the title into a live service.

Eurogamer notes that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is one of the unannounced projects mentioned in EA’s recent financial report.

The fiscal year ends on 31st March 2025, so fans of the series can rest assured that they will finally be able to play a new Dragon Age by then. With that being said, an exact release date still hasn’t been shared.

To date, the only official glimpse we’ve received of Dreadwolf is a brief cinematic trailer posted on YouTube in December 2023. The trailer concludes with the promise of a full reveal in Summer 2024.

EA also shared a synopsis for the game alongside the trailer: “Enter Thedas, a vibrant land of rugged wilderness, treacherous labyrinths, and glittering cities – steeped in savage combat and secret magics. Now, its fate teeters on a knife’s edge.”
