Footage Of New Hideo Kojima Game ‘Overdose’ Has Leaked Online

Hideo Kojima and Margaret Qualley Overdose Leak

The rumours of Hideo Kojima’s next game have been swirling for a long time. Between the baffling Abandoned which turned out to be a fat nothing and Kojima’s recent cryptic tweets, anticipation has been quietly simmering.

Now footage of Kojima’s next game, apparently named “Overdose”, has been leaked online.

Overdose appears to be a survival horror game – not dissimilar to Kojima’s cancelled Silent Hills.

In the leaked footage, we see Margaret Qualley – who portrayed Mama in Death Stranding – investigating a dimly lit corridor with a flashlight.

Qualley is frightened by a large shadowy entity that is pursuing her in the background.

After hiding behind a desk, she screams and covers her face. The camera then fades to black.

The words “GAMEOVER” (reminiscent of the famous Metal Gear Solid death screen) appear before transitioning to “OVERDOSE”. Finally, “A Hideo Kojima Game” fades in above the title.

We won’t share the footage here. But it is being widely circulated around the internet.

The leaked video is of poor quality. A shirtless man (don’t ask us why!) is filming the footage on a phone which itself shows footage of someone recording the leaked Overdose gameplay on a laptop.

Whether this game is the one Hideo Kojima has been publicly teasing or not is unclear. However, the fact the images appear on a laptop imply that Overdose is the previously announced Xbox game that utilises “Microsoft’s cutting edge cloud technology”.
