This guide covers the solution for the Radsvinn’s Rig Nornir Rune Chest in Svartalfheim in God of War Ragnarok.

God of War Ragnarok is the sequel to 2018’s acclaimed God of War reboot. After four years, it’s safe to say fans are relishing the chance to jump back into Kratos’ god-sized shoes.

Despite delays and a release on the PS4 that prompted concerns, God of War Ragnarok has launched to astonishingly strong reviews. With 10-out-of-10’s abound, it’s clear the game is a standout title for Sony and a worthy successor to the 2018 game.

In the new sequel, we rejoin Kratos and Atreus as they journey to stop the cataclysmic Ragnarok and learn more about the latter’s true identity as the god Loki.

Along the way the father and son duo join forces with some old friends and come up against new, dangerous foes like Thor and Odin. However, after four years, it can be difficult to remember the story of the previous game and who everyone is.

The same goes for God of War Ragnarok‘s gameplay, too.

Despite sinking tens of hours into the last game, it’s only natural to forget how things work in this follow-up. Be it in combat, navigation, skills, or collectibles.

One feature that returns from the previous game are Nornir Rune Chests.

Rune Chests are special, locked containers that contain valuable loot. There are 34 Rune Chests in God of War Ragnarok.

The first thirty contain either an Apple of Idunn (which increases overall HP) or a Horn of the Blood Mead (which increases overall Rage). The other four will generate random rewards like Hacksilver and Enchantments.

With Rune Chests containing valuable stat boosting items, opening as many as possible is essential.

So, let’s go over how to open Radsvinn’s Rig Nurnir Rune Chest in Svartalfheim in God of War Ragnarok

To open Rune Chests, players need to find three seals bearing the same runes as the chest.

Once found, the three seals must be either destroyed, set alight, spun, or have its bell rung. Which one depends on the type of Seal – but it will be the same for all three Seals relating to one particular chest.

As you’d expect, the seals are located in difficult to find areas near the Rune Chests. Some are much easier to find than others. But it isn’t unusual to spend fifteen minutes running around looking high and low for the last one.

Seal Locations

These seals need to be ignited.

The first seal brazier is next to the chest on the left. Use the Blades of Chaos to set it alight.

The next brazier is further to the left behind a fence. Climb up to the platform next to the chimney, then turn around and look down to the left. Smash the red fire jar by throwing the axe to ignite the seal.

The final seal is behind two barrels. Continue round the walkway and drop down halfway. Use Atreus’ Sonic Arrows to destroy the barrels.
