This Helldivers 2 guide explains why you can’t use a Booster and how to fix it.

Helldivers 2 is a game that’s as much about the equipment you bring into a mission as how skilled you are.

Using the right stratagems can make all the difference. Similarly, Boosters are highly effective enhancements that can give you a significant head start on a mission.

In a previous article, we explained how to unlock Boosters and what they do. However, once you have a Booster to use, you may find that you can’t equip it.

So, it’s natural that you’ll be wondering why this is and what you can do to fix it. With that being said, allow us to explain exactly how Boosters work.

Why can’t I use a Booster in Helldivers 2?

Boosters can only be equipped by one squad member at a time and their effects are applied to every member of the squad.

That means only one squad member needs to equip a Booster. Similarly, if one player equips Hellpod Space Optimisation and another equips Vitality Enhancement, the entire squad will benefit from the effects of both Boosters.

So, if you can’t equip your booster in Helldivers 2, it’s simply because another squad member already has it equipped.

Therefore, the best thing to do is coordinate with your squad to ensure you’re all using the correct Boosters.
