Helldivers 2 makes for a fantastic online co-op experience. In a refreshing break for overly competitive multiplayer modes, this is a game that forces players to work together for the greater good.
This is a raging galactic war against alien bugs and robots, and the Helldivers are humanity’s best hope for survival.
You must team up in squads of up to four players to take on these blood-thirsty enemies. A long the way, you fight across numerous planets in a variety of missions.
You may also encounter side objectives that require you to deviate from the primary mission. One such side objective asks players to “Destroy all facility buildings”.
However, in typical Helldivers 2 fashion, the game doesn’t actually tell you how to do this. So, allow us to explain what you need to do.
How to destroy facility buildings in Helldivers 2
To destroy facility buildings, you must call in and activate the Hellbomb stratagem.
You can do this by opening the stratagem menu and inputting the correct directional button combination.
You will need to mark the drop point for the Hellbomb, so throw it into the centre of the area where the buildings are located.
A countdown will appear on-screen showing how long it will take the Hellbomb to arrive. Once it lands, approach the terminal on the device and input the button combination to activate it.
Immediately leave the area with your squad before the Hellbomb detonates – there will be a powerful explosion that will almost certainly kill you if you are too close.
This should complete the “Destroy all facility buildings” objective.
It’s worth noting that players do need to equip the Hellbomb before deploying into a mission – it will automatically appear in your list of stratagems during any mission where it is required.
