MW3 Zombies in Season 1 Reloaded: What’s new?

Season 1 Reloaded of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (MW3) and Warzone is almost here. Set for release on 17 January, it will add lots of new content for MW3 and battle royale. But what’s new for MW3 Zombies in Season 1 Reloaded?

Since its launch, the latest iteration of Zombies has been the subject of much debate. It is based on the foundations of last year’s DMZ mode and switches out the familiar round-based experience for an open-world.

It is set on the primary Warzone battle royale map, Urzikstan. Players are tasked with completing missions to advance the mode’s story while also acquiring better loot and gear.

At launch, MW3 Zombies featured numerous missions of increasing difficulty split across three acts. A fourth act was added when Season 1 began in December, but it only contained one mission.

Naturally, this disappointed loyal Zombies fans who expected more from the first big seasonal update. Unfortunately, Season 1 Reloaded also includes minimal new Zombies content.

New content and changes in MW3 Zombies (Season 1 Reloaded)

There is only one significant change coming to MW3 Zombies in Season 1 Reloaded. In an official Call of Duty blog, Activision announced that players will have a new Warlord to fight.

The new Warlord is the operator Dokkaebi, who was introduced in Season 1. She is described by Activision as “A key lieutenant within Terminus Outcomes.”

Dokkaebi is based inside a “fortress at the top of a skyscraper in Zaravan City”, and apparently has an army of drones, turrets, and a Wheelson at her disposal.

Defeating her will reward the player with “high-tier loot.”

It’s likely that Dokkaebi will be relatively straightforward to find and defeat, if the mode’s other Warlord is anything to go by. Overall, this is a particularly meagre offering for a mid-season update.

Here’s hoping that far more content is planned for Season 2 when it arrives.
