The long-awaited Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+ is finally here. It’s been 17 years since fans last saw a live-action Kenobi on screen. That appearance was in Star Wars: Episode IIIRevenge of the Sith. Ewan McGregor reprises the character, which is perhaps his most famous role. The new series has been well-received so far, and is sure to treat fans to plenty of twists and turns along the way. When Obi-Wan Kenobi begins, the titular character is on Tatooine watching over a young Luke Skywalker. But Luke’s twin sister – Princess Leia – quickly becomes Kenobi’s primary focus when she is kidnapped by the Inquisitors. Her capture forces Obi-Wan out of hiding as he attempts to rescue her. But where was Princess Leia living before she was taken? What planet is Leia on when Obi-Wan Kenobi begins?

What planet is Leia on in Obi-Wan Kenobi?

Leia and her twin brother Luke were given to adoptive parents by Obi-Wan at the end of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. But they weren’t given to the same people. Luke was taken to Tatooine and placed in the care of farmers Owen and Beru Lars. Leia was given to Senator Bail Organa and Queen Breha Organa. But this wasn’t on Tatooine.

This is what planet Leia is on in Obi-Wan Kenobi. Princess Leia Organa lives on the planet Alderaan with her adoptive parents Senator Bail Organa and Queen Breha Organa in Obi-Wan Kenobi. The series takes place 10 years after the events of Episode III and begins with Leia trying to figure out her place amongst royalty and high society. Senator Bail Organa begs Obi-Wan to come out of hiding to rescue Leia following her kidnap. Kenobi is the only person he trusts to save her. However, it soon becomes clear the kidnap was a plot by an Inquisitor – Third Sister (Reva Sevander) – to lure Obi-Wan out into the open.
