Ready or Not: How to report evidence in tutorial level

Report evidence objective in tutorial of Ready or Not

This guide explains how to report evidence in the tutorial level of Ready or Not.

Ready or Not is a popular first-person shooter game that burst onto the gaming scene recently. It started in early access in 2021 and officially launched in December 2023, quickly becoming popular on Steam.

It’s a game where you play as an armed police officer, similar to the SWAT games before it. It straddles the fence between gritty realism and a brutal police fantasy.

Even though some people find it controversial and a bit rough around the edges, it’s still a really engrossing game. Unlike games like Call of Duty that focus on fast action, Ready or Not wants to be more true to life, so there’s a lot to figure out when you start playing.

Luckily, there’s a tutorial to help you learn how to play, but for new players, it might be a bit hard to understand. This isn’t helped by the unintuitive design.

One thing that players are struggling with is how to report evidence at the end of the tutorial level. So, let’s go over how to do it.

How to report evidence in Ready or Not tutorial level

This is how to report evidence in the Ready or Not tutorial level: On the right side of the room, there is a table with lines of white powder and wrapped packages on top. Go over to the table and press F when the prompt appears. This will report the evidence and allow you to progress to the end of the tutorial.

The problem here arises from the timing of the initial prompt. After clearing the level’s final room, an objective instruction appears that reads: “Press F to report any evidence that you find.”

This instruction implies that you can press F anywhere to report back on what you’ve already found. This is further confused by the fact that you have just found and bagged weapons as evidence.

In actuality, you need to report the narcotics packages on the table. To do this, you actually have to go over to the packages and interact with them directly, as explained above.
