Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0‘s DMZ mode features faction missions, and some of these send players in search of dead drops. They can be found on both the Al Mazrah and Ashika Island maps, and are usually used for depositing or collecting key mission items.
One DMZ faction mission like this is Pathfinder, which is a Tier 2 mission for the White Lotus faction.
The mission description for Pathfinder is as follows:
“We placed a GPS tracker at the burger shop at the observatory. We need you to use the GPS to help us update our topographical maps of the area. We’ll need frequent sample points across the AO to accurately krige together into workable data. Take the tracker from the dead drop, visit all of the major points of interest, and return with it.”

The mission features three objectives. First, you must loot the GPS tracker from a dumpster dead at Zaya Observatory. Next, you need to visit every point of interest in Al Mazrah while carrying the GPS tracker. Finally, you need to extract the GPS tracker. This must all be done during one deployment.

So, where can you find the Zaya Observatory dead drop in Al Mazrah?
This is the GPS tracker dead drop location in Warzone DMZ Pathfinder mission:
The GPS tracker dead drop is located on the north east side of Zaya Observatory in between the two buildings opposite the Stronghold. It can be found at map coordinates ‘F5’.
The dead drop is a large white dumpster, so is difficult to miss. Interact with the dumpster and the GPS tracker will be inside.
You are now able to move to the next stage of the Pathfinder mission and must visit each POI. The GPS tracker will log your progress as you travel around the map.
We recommend finding a helicopter if possible. This is the quickest and easiest way of travelling around the map with minimal disruption from enemies.
Just remember that you must visit every POI and extract in the same deployment, otherwise your progress will be reset.
