We all know that levelling up guns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (MW3) and Warzone can be a real chore. After all, there are just so many of them.
It seems that every other week the meta completely changes, and everyone is running different guns. No one wants to get left behind and find themselves at a disadvantage.
So, it’s unsurprising that players are always keen to level up guns as quickly as possible. And that’s where MW3 Zombies mode comes in.
If you’re just getting started in MW3 and Warzone, you may be wondering if it’s possible to level up guns in Zombies as a quick way of unlocking attachments.
Is it possible to level up guns in MW3 Zombies?
Yes – you can level up guns in MW3 Zombies.
In fact, it is one of the quickest and easiest ways to level your weapons up across both MW3 and Warzone.
While some multiplayer maps – such as Shipment and Rust – can be great for levelling weapons quickly, they aren’t always available to play.
In Zombies, you can level your weapon up multiple times in a single 45-minute session. With most weapons having around 20-25 levels, you should only need to play three or four games of MW3 Zombies before your gun hits its max level.
Fastest way to level weapons in Zombies
The fastest way to level weapons in Zombies is to activate a Double Weapon XP token before deploying, then focus on contracts that spawn large amounts of zombies to kill.
Spore Control and Outlast contracts are particularly good for this, as zombies will continue to spawn for as long as the contract remains active.
Another popular method is to visit the mode’s numerous exfil points, call in the exfiltration chopper, and kill all the zombies that spawn.
While this method isn’t quite as effective as it used to be (due to the developers reducing the number of zombies that spawn at exfils), it is still viable and worth trying.
Of course, it is possible to level up more than one weapon at once in MW3 Zombies. However, we recommend focusing on one at a time to save the hassle of constantly switching weapons to ensure weapon XP is evenly spread.
