After months of waiting, Hogwarts Legacy has arrived on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The game is proving to be a massive hit with Potter fans as they eagerly get stuck into life at the legendary school.
In Hogwarts Legacy, players join the eponymous school as a fifth-year student in the 1890s. The game takes place a whole century before the Harry Potter novels and films. And this allows it to tell its own story about “a dangerous journey to uncover a hidden truth of the wizarding world.”
Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive RPG that allows players to experience life as a real student. You can create your own witch or wizard, pick your own wand, and even choose one of Hogwarts’ four houses.
Once you’ve settled into the mythical school of witchcraft and wizardry, you are free to explore, attend classes, learn spells, and discover everything the Wizarding World has to offer.
One thing that had fans really excited about this was the prospect of flying through the skies around Hogwarts on a broomstick.
Flying a broom is essential for quickly traversing the game’s huge map, but you can’t do it right away. And Hogwarts Legacy doesn’t give you much of an indication when or how you can do it.

How To Get A Broom In Hogwarts Legacy
Thankfully, players don’t have to wait too long before the game allows you to take to the skies.
And not only is it great fun – players can also choose their own broom to suit their style and requirements. But before you can do this, there are a few things you need to do first.
This is how to get a broom in Hogwarts Legacy. You must complete the “Flying Class” main quest. This is your first flying lesson in the game, taught by Madam Kogawa. You will then be directed to Spintwitches Sporting Needs in Hogsmeade to purchase a broomstick of your own. Once you’ve bought a broom, it can be used to fly around the map.
Now you own a broomstick, travelling will be far quicker and easier. After all, the game’s map is huge and there is so much to do in the world of Hogwarts Legacy.
To equip your broom in Hogwarts Legacy, hold L1/LB and press Circle/B. Ensure you’re outside a no-fly area otherwise you won’t be able to equip the broom.
