Palworld developer is considering a PS5 version of the game

Palworld sheep with guns and a PS5 console.

It’s official. Palworld is a smash hit. Yesterday, the Pokémon-like survival game surpassed one million concurrent players on Steam. But there’s one major question on gamers’ minds – is Palworld coming to PS5?

The game is currently available for PC via Steam Early Access, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

Having sold three million copies in less than two days, it has generated an insane amount of buzz online. So, it’s only natural that people want to know if it will be released on PlayStation.

Palworld is an action adventure game with survival elements. You play as a human character who must capture and train creatures known as “Pals”.

While that concept alone is certainly nothing new, it’s Palworld‘s satirical elements that have captured the world’s attention.

It has been dubbed “Pokémon with guns”, as you can provide Pals with firearms. You can also use the creatures for food and physical labour.

Now with more than a million people playing it across PC and Xbox, is there any official word on a PS5 version of the game?

Responding to the question “Will Palworld be coming to PS5?” in an Early Access launch FAQ, the company said “We don’t have plans for this at the moment, but will consider it during development!”

So, there you have it. Given the game’s phenomenal success, an eventual PlayStation release for Palworld appears to be on the cards.

It’s worth noting that the game is still in Early Access, meaning development work continues and it is not complete.

Therefore, there’s a good chance that PS5 players will have to wait for the game to be finished before a version is released for their console.
