Rarest Counter Strike 2 weapon skin discovered, worth $1 million

The rarest Counter Strike 2 weapon skin, known as the AK-47 Case Hardened StatTrak Factory New 661 pattern.

The Counter Strike community has unearthed a weapon skin so rare that its rumoured existence was discussed in a similar vein to the Loch Ness Monster. It has been described by some as the rarest Counter Strike 2 weapon skin.

The skin appeared on Chinese skin market Buff on 15 January and immediately caught the attention of the CS2 trading community.

The “Factory New StatTrak AK-47 Case Hardened pattern 661″(catchy – we know) is a hyper-rare skin for the AK-47 weapon. It is so rare in fact, that the odds of securing one are apparently less than one in a million.

Players have yearned after the in-game collectible for a decade, and its discovery after all these years has made major waves. The community are now speculating about the existence of other mythically rare skins.

But why is the skin so desirable? Well, Case Hardened skins, with their distinctive blue gem patterns, have always carried a level of prestige unmatched by other cosmetic items.

Among these, the AK-47 Seed Pattern 661 stands at the pinnacle of desirability and has been hailed as the ultimate Blue Gem. Its scar pattern intertwines rarity with aesthetic beauty, making it the holy grail for enthusiasts.

These elements, along with the unprecedented rarity, mean that the skin is valued between $800,000 and $1 million – not bad for a bunch of polygons.

The identity of the fortunate Counter Strike Indiana Jones who discovered the skin remains a mystery for now. But given the already thriving nature of the Counter Strike trading scene, we can’t imagine their identity will remain a secret for long.
