It’s safe to say that the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (MW3) and Warzone Season 1 Reloaded didn’t go to plan. However, Raven Software has confirmed that two critical bugs impacting Warzone have been fixed.

One of these bugs caused players to get stuck in an infinite “Fetching Online Profile” loop when selecting Warzone in the menus.

The message “Fetching Online Profile” would appear on-screen before quickly disappearing and then reappearing again. It completely prevented some players from accessing Warzone, rendering the game unplayable.

Another glitch caused players to enter a so-called “bugged state” when opening loadout crates in Warzone. This game-breaking error would also make the battle royale mode unplayable for most players.

Loadout crates are an essential component of Warzone and enable players to use their own custom guns. Acquiring a loadout is a fundamental part of the early-game.

In the early hours of 18 January, the official Call of Duty Updates account on X confirmed both issues have been resolved: “We’ve just deployed fixes to resolve some of the issues resulting from the Season 1 Reloaded update.”

The tweet noted these two bugs in particular. “Players will no longer enter a bugged state when interacting with loadout crates in-game… Players will no longer get stuck on the “Fetching Online Profile” error when attempting to access the game menu”, it said.

While the exact cause of these errors is unknown, they are not without precedent. Most seasonal updates in Call of Duty launch with some degree of technical problems.

The CoD community was quick to thank Raven Software for their hard work fixing the issues. Popular Call of Duty streamer JGOD responded “I dont think I can recall seeing updates going out in the middle of the night. ggs”.

Similarly, gaming content creator MrRoflWaffles said “damn you guys really all pulled an all nighter huh? thank you for your hard work on this”.
