Given the warm reception it has received, the game is getting lots of attention on social media. As a result, many gamers may be tempted to check the series out for the first time.

It goes without saying that Tekken can be challenging – at least at first. Its mechanics and fighting intricacies will take some getting used to.

But one thing you can do to make the game a bit easier is to remap buttons to your liking. This can also help with combos which require more than one button to be pressed at the same time.

So, if you want to know how to remap Tekken 8‘s controls, check out the steps below.

How to remap buttons in Tekken 8

To remap buttons in Tekken 8, select ‘Options’ on the main menu. In the Options menu, select ‘Controller Setup’.

The inputs for different types of attacks are listed here. Scroll down to the attack you would like to remap and press the button you want to use for it.

This can also be done for attacks requiring two buttons, meaning you can map two-button attacks onto one button.

Find the button(s) you want to remap in the input list.

Once you are happy with your changes, select ‘Confirm and Exit’ at the bottom of the screen. You can undo any changes you have made by selecting either ‘Restore Previous Settings’ or ‘Restore Default Settings’.
