This Password Game guide explains how to solve Rule 24.

The Password Game is an online puzzle game that can be played for free. Its concept appears deceptively straightforward – devise a password that meets the established criteria set by the game’s rules. It may sound simple at first, but beware. The rules governing your password gradually escalate in complexity as you advance, with certain ones requiring considerable time and contemplation to solve.

As a result, the game has gained an impressive following among speedrunners and streamers. While the experience undeniably holds an allure for puzzle enthusiasts, it can prove to be overwhelmingly challenging and frustrating.

As you navigate the ever-evolving array of rules in The Password Game, your password will progressively lengthen and become more intricate.

One particularly difficult rule is Rule 24. Rule 24 reads as follows: “Your password must include the URL of a 35 minute and 2 second long YouTube video.” Note that this is an example – the length of YouTube video required will change every time and is never the same.

This requires you to search for a YouTube video matching the exact length specified. This is challenging for obvious reasons, but also because Paul will have hatched by the time you reach Rule 24. You must keep him fed with three caterpillars every minute otherwise he will starve and it will be game over.

Therefore, it’s essential that you find the required YouTube video as fast as possible.

How to solve Rule 24 in The Password Game

This is how to solve Rule 24 in The Password Game:

To solve Rule 24 in The Password Game, go to YouTube and enter the required video length in the search bar, e.g. “35 minute and 2 second video”. This will return results close to the required video duration. To narrow the search down further, use Filters. Under “Duration”, select “Over 20 minutes”.

Use Filters on YouTube.

If a video of the necessary length is not listed in the initial results, select the video that’s closest. Next, look in the sidebar for recommended videos that match the required length.

It should be noted that there is no guaranteed method of immediately finding a video of the correct duration. However, by using this method, you should be able to find one relatively quickly.

Once you have found a suitable video, copy the URL and paste it into your password.

While this will immediately solve Rule 24, it is likely to interfere with and potentially break other rules which will then need to be fixed.
