Ahsoka is a treat for Star Wars fans keen for fresh lore, as well as new characters and locations. The first half of the series is dedicated to the show’s main characters reaching a mysterious planet in a far away galaxy to locate the banished Grand Admiral Thrawn. By episode six – “Part Six: Far, Far Away” – Mogan Elsbeth, Sabine Wren, Baylan Skoll, and Shin Hati have arrived there and met Thrawn and Enoch. But what is the planet they are on in episode six of Ahsoka called?

To learn of the planet and its location, Elsbeth, Skoll, and Hati stole a star map from Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren. It provided the route from the planet Seatos to the distant planet via an intergalactic hyperspace lane used by Purrgil (star whales).

Upon reaching the planet, it is revealed to be a desolate wasteland. However, it has breathable air allowing humans to live there. It is also where Thrawn and his soldiers – the Night Troopers – have been living in exile aboard a Star Destroyer called Chimaera.

What planet are they on in Episode Six of Ahsoka?

In episode six of Ahsoka, the characters are on the planet Peridea. It is located outside the known galaxy and was previously the home of the Dathomiri. Eventually, their civilisation collapsed on Peridea and they relocated to Dathomir by travelling through the intergalactic hyperspace lane.

Baylan Skoll suggests in Ahsoka that Jedi Younglings would tell stories about the existence of Peridea. However, he dismissed these as fairytales. It isn’t explained how the Younglings knew of Peridea.

Enoch tells Sabine Wren that Peridea is inhabited by “Nomads [who] wander this wasteland and prey upon each other for survival.” Peridea is also home to the Noti, a species of crab-like humanoids, who allowed Ezra Bridger to join them after entering self-imposed exile.

It is explained that Peridea is where the Purrgil go to die and that the hyperspace lane they traverse is actually their migration path. For this reason, Peridea’s rings are composed of the bones of deceased Purrgil.

To reach Peridea, Ahsoka Tano and Huyang travelled inside the mouth of a Purrgil Ultra (a larger variety of the star whale species). Although they are shown travelling through the hyperspace lane, they do not reach Peridea until the end of episode six when Thrawn is informed that a Jedi (presumed to be Ahsoka) has arrived.

With two episodes of Ahsoka left, it is likely that we will see much more of Peridea before the series concludes.
